Hello,my name is Kristin and this is my rabbitry.    I am a small hobby operation located in Rochester,Northern Indiana.

I am a registered ARBA member and a member of the American Dutch Club, and I raise Dutch,Mini-Rex,and Mini Lop Rabbits

I started this little hobby of mine in the year of 2004,I thought it would be fun to try just as a 4-h project.  Well to make a long story short, things kinda got out of hand and shortly after and Maple Woods was born!!  My sisters Kenna and Kaillie also love the rabbits. They are starting to show rabbits now starting this fall,to help big sis out with granding some BEWs :).  They are also being "trained" i guess you could say for when i head out for college.  Ive put way to much time into my rabbits to just turn around and sell them!  So don't look for Maple Woods to drop off the map anytime soon because Im hoping for it to be around for a LONG time :)

I also am VERY active 4-her and have been for 7 years.  I show dogs, horse, rabbits, poultry, and other stuff like shooting sports, latch hook, junior leaders, trail project.  I also participate in girl scouts which i am a senior girlscout in. I am also my troops representative for council meetings.  I also am now apart of the Rochester FFA Chapter!!  I was elected Green hand Vice President my first year.  I participate in the following CDE's:Soil Judging,Livestock Judging,Horse Judging(team Leader!),and also leadership.  This past year (2008-2009) My horse team recently placed 4th in the area contest and were invited to state.  Unfortunatly we could not attend as one of my team had to take her SATs.  This team was the first horse judging team in 11 years!

As all of you probably figured out by now I of course compete in ARBA rabbit shows.  I hope one day I can be a well known vet and animal breeder. Also to become a judge for rabbits.    I  hope to still compete in ARBA shows to improve my line that I have been working on very hard.  Even though I haven't had rabbits very long I have boosted my knowledge about them by a ton.  I was so confident this year I am going out for rabbit royalty this year and my state fair.UPDATE: TOOK 3 BOB'S AND 2 BOSB'S AT MY FAIR!

Heading to the IN State fair 2009-Once again I took the chance to compete at the state fair (and to get out of school haha)  I did ok and got really good comments on my rabbits.  Some Highlights: I took BOV blue Dutch with Maple Woods's Stacie,I took BOSV Steel Dutch with Maple Woods's Daisy, and I took BOSV BEW Mini Rex with Maple Woods's Azul!

I currently have over 90 rabbits, but I am purchasing more in the far future (unless i can't resist of course!)to further more improve my stock .Dutch right now is my main breed followed by the mini rex then the  mini lops. And the new zealand whites
